I started working here just over 8 years ago, before this I was a Receptionist with no experience in Accounts. I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to do as a career and had previously had a few different jobs in different industries but hadn’t found a career that fitted.
My Sister in Law was working for Helen at the time and mentioned to me that there was an opportunity opening up and that I should go and have a chat with Helen to see what it was all about. Helen laid it out to me straight and explained where I could take my career if I worked hard and wanted to. Helen gave me the opportunity!
Before I knew it, I was in a whole new office with so much to learn and develop! I started my AAT and went to College for 4 years, it was hard work but I put my head down and worked through it and completed the AAT degree. I am now a fully qualified Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians.
I have worked my way up from Office Junior to Office Manager and have taken on many responsibilities to help HNAS grow and develop into the business it is today.
Without the support of my family, the team at HNAS and Helen, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Hard work does pay off so my advice is if you want it, work hard and you can achieve it.
